Chongqing East Station Opens Today — CEEG Powers a New Chapter for the Hub

2025-06-27 14:41

Chongqing East Station officially commenced operations today. As a key component of the Chongqing railway hub, the East Station, together with Chongqing West and North Stations, forms a new “three-main” railway passenger hub structure, significantly enhancing Chongqing’s rail transport capacity. CEEG empowers the station’s stable and intelligent operation by providing high-efficiency, energy-saving amorphous alloy dry-type transformers.

01 Connecting All Directions, Guiding an Intelligent Future

Chongqing East Station is located in the southeast of the Chayuan New District, Nan’an District. Its architectural design is inspired by the concept of “thousands of miles of mountains and rivers, towering Huangjue trees,” creatively integrating the aesthetic of Chinese landscape painting to showcase Chongqing’s unique natural scenery and regional culture, symbolizing connectivity across all directions. The station extensively applies emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and big data, deploying over a hundred intelligent applications. These systems enable real-time monitoring of temperature, humidity, passenger flow, and other information, while supporting automated scheduling and management to enhance the passenger experience.

As a modern integrated transportation hub and a future landmark of Chongqing, the operation of East Station will significantly improve urban efficiency and travel experience. It holds strategic importance for promoting regional resource aggregation, driving industrial upgrading, and supporting the development of the Chengdu-Chongqing dual-city economic circle.

02 Green Power, Intelligent Support

In this project, CEEG provided amorphous alloy dry-type transformers, whose high efficiency, energy-saving, and reliable performance offer a solid power foundation for Chongqing East Station’s operations and the deployment of cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, big data, cloud computing, and digital twins.

Compared with traditional silicon steel transformers, these transformers reduce no-load losses by approximately 60%–80%, effectively minimizing energy waste during station operations. In addition, they feature low operational noise, high overload capacity, and strong short-circuit resistance, ensuring extremely stable and reliable power supply. This provides “zero flicker” high-quality electricity for the station’s critical loads and precision intelligent systems.

It is a source of pride that CEEG’s amorphous alloy dry-type transformers have been successfully applied in a major national project—Chongqing East Station—supporting its intelligent operation management and low-carbon, green transportation goals. This achievement also marks another benchmark for CEEG in empowering the smart development of large-scale transportation hubs.

Looking ahead, CEEG will continue to focus on power technology innovation and application, providing efficient, intelligent, and green power solutions. We remain committed to enabling the safe, stable, and high-efficiency operation of major infrastructure projects, contributing to the construction of a modern integrated transportation system and promoting high-quality regional economic and social development.
