On March 18, 2025, the HEC&CEEG Saudi Project Transformer Shipping Ceremony was successfully held at the CEEG Yangzhong Riverside Industrial Park. Attendees included Yangzhong Mayor Li Lijun, Chen Shunzhi (Secretary of the EDZ Party Committee), Zhong Bin (Director of the EDZ Management Committee), Representatives of Hyundai Engineering China, Dr. Hans Lu (Chairman and CEO of CEEG) and Director Guo Hongjian, among other officials and guests.

Mr. Chen Shunzhi, Secretary of the EDZ Party Committee

Mr. Chen extended congratulations on the project's launch. He hailed it as a model for local firms venturing overseas, praising CEEG's market entry via technical prowess. Emphasizing openness amid global energy shifts as crucial for breakthroughs, he pledged continued efforts to improve the business environment, supporting more enterprises in exploring international markets.

The representative of HEC emphasized trust as the cornerstone of the partnership, noting, “CEEG’s professionalism and execution efficiency during technical alignment and delivery have reinforced our confidence in future collaboration.” He expressed Hyundai’s commitment to deepening cooperation with CEEG across sectors, guided by principles of expertise, innovation, and mutual benefit.

Dr. Hans Lu affirmed CEEG’s dedication to delivering the Saudi project on schedule while maintaining quality standards. He outlined plans to strengthen global partnerships, expand operational teams in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America, and provide tailored services in R&D, specialized manufacturing, supply chain integration, and localized support.

Mayor Li Lijun of Yangzhong City


Mayor Li delivered an important speech, putting forward three expectations:

1. Prioritize Innovation: Accelerate technological advancement and international brand development to drive high-quality growth.

2. Expand Collaborative Opportunities: Leverage the Saudi project as a model to explore emerging markets under the Belt and Road Initiative, particularly in the Middle East and Southeast Asia. Foster synergy between Hyundai’s global networks and Yangzhong’s electrical industry cluster.

3. Enhance Government Support: The Yangzhong government and Economic Development Zone will improve policy frameworks, streamline administrative services, and address challenges promptly to maintain a world-class business environment.

三、HIGHLIGHT MOMENT

Following the speeches, attendees officially initiated the shipment via a launch ceremony. Six trucks carrying transformers departed for Jubail, Saudi Arabia, marking the start of their 7,000-kilometer journey.
