The Kindia Tunnel is located in the mid-low mountainous area of the southern Fouta Djallon Plateau in Guinea.It is a key project connecting the railway between the Maribaya Port and the Simandou mining area. The tunnel has a total length of 11.62 kilometers and features a single-tube double-track structure. The tunnel site is primarily composed of Class lll and lV surrounding rock, with steep terrain and multiple fault zones, presenting complex geological conditions and high construction difficulty.
The entire project adopts Chinese standards, technology, and equipment.Upon completion, it will become the longest tunnel in Guinea. CEEG provided the project with American-style standard substations from theZGS-Z-1500/10 series, strongly supporting the high-quality execution of the project
