The project is located in Bayanjargalan, Central Province, Mongolia,approximately 115 km from the capital, Ulaanbaatar. lt is invested by BODl Corporation of Mongolia and contracted under EPC by Sinosteel Equipment& Engineering Co., Ltd. The project covers an area of 122 hectares and has a total installed capacity of 2x150 MW, It also includes 69 km of power transmission lines and supporting infrastructure such as roads and railways, with a total investment of nearly 600 million USD. This project is a key energy cooperation initiative aligning China's Belt and Road Initiative with Mongolia's Development Road strategy, actively contributing to the construction of the China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor and promoting local economic and social development.
The project selected CEEG'S ZSCB11-2700/6.3/2 and SCB10-2000/6.3/0.4-Dyn11+2x2.5%8%/T/C/(13812.152) special process series products. The project team overcame challenges such as long material procurement cycles, tight schedules, complex overlapping tasks, and varying acceptance standards to meet the special process requirements,earning high praise from the owner.
